MUSEUM OF MODERN ART, NEW YORK

Project Volume introduced its unique methods of working with dance to explore visual art, to a group of educators working at Museum of Modern Art, New York. The aim of the work was to begin to show different approaches to exploring visual art that would be both inclusive and relevant to the complexity and variety of the artists featured at the gallery.

Highlight
Watching the gallery educators create dance in the gallery, in response to the different meanings that colour can evoke and therefore illustrate how our individual interpretations of art can be collectively shared and physically realised through dance.

"Susan introduced us to her unique methods for using movement to view art...to experience visual art in a new and performative way...Susan has offered MoMA insight into a new method for communicating art to a diverse public."

Francesca Rosenberg
